11. Tadpole & Repair Tool

Build the Tadpole submarine, its dock, the Vehicle Fabricator, and the Repair Tool.

Return to your lifepod and interact with NoA. Check the Tadpole Dock signal marker. Since it’s in a high-temperature area, build the Tadpole first. You’ve already scanned enough Tadpole Modules — check the blueprints tab (bottom) in PDA for required materials.

The Tadpole Dock and Vehicle Fabricator work together. All “XX Ingot” materials need the Processor. Use the Habitat Builder to expand a square room (2×2 recommended) to fit the dock and fabricator. Place a Standard Element - Moonpool on the floor.

Open the Vehicle Fabricator, select Vehicle - Tadpole, and craft it.

Jump into the water from the moonpool and align with the Tadpole’s front glass to enter the cockpit.

When returning to the dock, approach the underside of the dock — the Tadpole auto-parks.

Aim at the blue circle on top of the Tadpole to swap batteries. Behind the battery is the upgrade module slot.

The Tadpole has power and durability (shown in the lower-right cockpit display). Power is provided by Power Batteries; swap depleted ones and charge in the Power Battery Terminal. Use the Repair Tool to restore durability.

The Tadpole can tow a Portable Locker or carry the Repair Tool on its rear mount. Approach the rear mount point with the item to connect.

Use the Scanner Station to filter for Sulfur if you didn’t collect it earlier near Chap’s bunker. Collect all materials and craft the Repair Tool at the Fabricator (Equipment tab).
