21. Giant Jaw Clam & Portable Oxygen Generator
Find the Giant Jaw Clam and craft the Portable Oxygen Generator for extended exploration.
From the Colonist Bunker (Unauthorized NOA Modification) location, look SE 165. Head past the Mingchan wreck.
In the distance, spot a giant shell. Head toward it.
Approach the Giant Jaw Clam (it opens its eye when you get close).
Go to the sphere between the two shells. On the left side of the sphere’s opening, scan Portable Oxygen Generator 1/2.
Enter the opening. Pick up the metal debris, then scan Portable Oxygen Generator 2/2 underneath. The clam will try to eat you — if you’re fast enough, escape before the shell fully closes.
Return to base. Use the Habitat Builder, open the menu, go to Function to build the Portable Oxygen Generator.
Note: Needs to be carried, requires a battery, can be mounted on the Tadpole.
